What Do We Want From You?

Everybody wants something from you. Your dispatcher wants you to do the impossible. Your company wants you to drive for nothing. The governments wants you to have a perfect truck and log book at all times. The truck stop wants more of your money. Your family wants you to be there for every holiday, birthday, weekend, and special occasion. So, what do we want from you?

Actually, we don't really want anything from you. We want something FOR you. We want you to have the help, encouragement, and direction in your life that can only come from a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Driving down the highway without Christ is like heading down the road with no map, no directions, and no clear idea of where you're headed. Without those things you are at the mercy of those around you. To safely navigate the roadway of life, you need a good map (the Bible), a clear idea of where you're headed (heaven or hell), and directions on how to get there (the Gospel of Jesus Christ).

The Bible, like a good map, shows you what's what and where things are. It tells us that our God is holy (Psalm 99:9) and righteous (Psalm 116:5) but we are not (Romans 3:10). It reveals that we were created to have fellowship with God but that our sin has separated us from Him and prevents our fellowship with Him (Genesis 3:8-9; Isaiah 59:1-2). It also paints a picture of the reality of both heaven and hell.

By looking at what the Bible has to say about heaven and hell, we can get a clear idea as to which one we are headed to. Heaven is a place prepared for those who accept Christ as their Savior (John 14:1-9). Hell, on the other hand, is the final destination for all those who reject Him (Revelation 20:15; 21:8).

The gospel of Jesus Christ points out how to get to either heaven or hell quite clearly. In John 3:16 we read: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." In verse 18 we find: "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." In other words, according to the Bible we need to realize and admit that we are heading away from heaven and toward hell. We then need to stop, turn around, and put our faith in Jesus Christ who, as God in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16), "...bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (1 Peter 2:24)."

What do we want for you? We want Acts 26:18 for you: "To open [your] eyes, and to turn [you] from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that [you] may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in [Jesus Christ]." We want the peace of knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and of knowing that you are on your way to heaven for you.

Why don't you stop by or contact us if you need a map, a clear idea of where you are headed, and how to get there.

God bless! We hope to see you soon...On the Highway!
